Savor Gastropub Welcomes Certified Sommelier, Brooke Gerstein  

DALLAS, TEXAS (October 9, 2017) – Savor Gastropub is proud to introduce their new sommelier, as a welcomed addition to their management staff, Brooke Gerstein. Gerstein is a New York – Dallas transplant. She is a certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers and is a Level III with the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET).

Brooke Gerstein brings four years of sommelier experience and an ivy league education to the Savor Gastropub team. Gerstein graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration. 

Gerstein has experience as a wine and spirits saleswoman, educator and wine consultant, and most recently served as a sommelier at Gemma. Before that she served as a sommelier at CORK Wine Bar & Retail in Dallas. She’s also served in New York at Sopexa USA, Adventure Wine LLC, and Excelsior Wines.

Savor Gastropub recently rolled out their new happy hour concept, Expressions of the Vine. Brooke collaborated with Executive Chef John Coleman and General Manager Timothy Rutland to hand select and create the wine flights. Flights include three glasses of different varietals, placed upon a unique wine map that showcases characteristics, region, and flavor profile. 

“I am delighted to roll out Expressions of the Vine, Flight School and Industry Night at Savor Gastropub.  We are excited to elevate our Wine Bar & Wine List,” said Gerstein. “The team is giving me the freedom to bring in some amazing new wines. 

General Manager, Timothy Rutland is thrilled to have Brooke join the Savor Gastropub team.  

“Savor’s Wine Program has always been a major focus of our restaurant and we continually offer our guests a superior wine by the glass program from our cellar of over 120 wines.  Brooke is a welcome addition to the Savor Gastropub family,” said Rutland.
